Garrett Siffer, 18, Remembered After Fatal October 15, 2026, Crash in Raisinville Township, Michigan
Garrett Siffer, an 18-year-old resident of Ida, died Thursday morning, October 15, 2026, after a single-vehicle crash in Raisinville Township, Monroe County.
At approximately 6:54 a.m., Garrett drove a blue 2010 Ford Fusion north on North Raisinville Road, north of Stewart Road.
The car left the roadway for reasons that remain unknown, entered a ditch, struck a tree, overturned onto its roof, and caught fire.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Office personnel, firefighters, ambulance workers, and chaplains quickly responded, but authorities pronounced Garrett dead at the scene.
Investigators continue working to determine what caused the car to leave the road, and officials reported that no other vehicles were involved.
Garrett’s death at such a young age leaves family, friends, and the Ida community mourning a life that ended far too soon.
