Diane Lister, 62, of Chapman Dies in Interstate 70 Collision Near Junction City
Diane Lister, 62, of Chapman, died on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, in a head-on collision on Interstate 70 near Junction City, Kansas.
The collision occurred around 4:17 p.m. just east of the Washington Street exit in Geary County.
Authorities reported that a westbound 2004 Ford F-150 left the highway during a police pursuit and reentered Interstate 70 traveling in the wrong direction.
The truck collided with the 2019 Cadillac XT5 that Lister was driving, and both drivers died at the scene.
Lister wore a seat belt at the time of the collision.
Crews closed the interstate for several hours while they responded at the interchange area.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the pursuit and collision.
