Charlie Lee Wright Jr., 36, Remembered After Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash on Ross Clark Circle in Dothan, Alabama
Charlie Lee Wright Jr., a 36-year-old Dothan resident, died early Thursday, October 15, 2026, following a single-vehicle crash on Ross Clark Circle.
The crash occurred shortly before 2 a.m. in the 2700 block after the vehicle briefly left the roadway, overturned, and ejected Wright.
Responding officers found Wright near the road, where authorities pronounced them dead at the scene.
No other occupants were inside the vehicle.
Officials believe speed contributed to the crash, while the Dothan Police Department crash team continues to investigate the circumstances.
Northbound lanes remained closed for several hours as emergency crews worked at the scene, and Coroner Robert Byrd also responded.
Wright’s sudden passing leaves family, friends, and the wider Dothan community mourning a profound loss.
